Before he was "Pastor Arjun," he was just Arjun. By his own admission, his life was going nowhere.
Growing up in a tribal village in a remote region, Arjun felt trapped in a relentless cycle of bitterness, anger, and poverty. Entangled in sinful activities, he found himself walking a dark road with no clear future—until one conversation changed everything.
The Turning Point
A Christian believer stopped to speak with Arjun, sharing the simple yet profound truth of the Gospel: our actions have consequences, but Jesus offers a way out. For the first time, Arjun felt a genuine fear of God. But this wasn't a fear that pushed him away; it was a wake-up call.
A burning desire to be saved took root in his heart. In the year 2000, Arjun made the most significant decision of his life. He was baptized, washing away the old self and stepping into the new. The anger and bitterness were replaced by a fiery passion to serve.
Equipping the Called
Passion is essential, but for the work God had in store, Arjun needed to be equipped. He connected with Hope India Mission and enrolled in the mission’s Leadership Training Center in the city.
There, he immersed himself in the Bible, allowing the Word of God to forge his raw passion into the strength of a true leader. He was being prepared for a mission he couldn't yet imagine.
The Miracle at Rampur
His mission became clear in the remote, unreached village of Rampur. The work was dangerous. Angry men from neighboring villages shouted threats. But Pastor Arjun stood his ground because he had seen God's power.
When a young girl named Kavya was dying from a mysterious sickness, Pastor Arjun prayed for her. Right in front of everyone, God healed her completely.
That single miracle sparked a spiritual fire. Kavya's family believed, neighbors followed, and the fellowship outgrew their home. With Hope India Mission's help, a beautiful new house of worship opened in 2021.
Incredible Results
The results have been incredible! A brand new, indigenous, first-generation church is alive and growing!
Before the church was built, about 40 believers would gather to worship. Today? On any given Sunday, that number has more than tripled to over 200 people! The congregation has grown significantly since opening the new church in 2021.
Pastor Arjun, the man once lost in bitterness, is now a shepherd to a thriving flock. He remains on the front lines every single day, his work changing the future of an entire community. This is what a life sold out for Jesus looks like!
