Equipping the Harvesters: A Report from the IMPACT Workers Conference
November 17–19, 2025 | Patna, Bihar
About Project Impact
Project Impact is the "Mother of All Outreach Initiatives" at Hope India Mission. It is the central framework managing our social outreach and community transformation. It ensures that every village we serve experiences holistic growth—covering education, health, and livelihood—while laying the foundation for strong local churches.
There is a unique energy when 110 dedicated workers gather in one place with a single purpose.
From November 17–19, the Navjyoti Niketan center in Patna became a hub of prayer, strategy, and fellowship. Pastors, evangelists, and Non-Formal School (village schools) teachers traveled from various mission fields to pause, reflect, and sharpen their tools for the work ahead.
The goal was simple yet critical: How do they build a ministry that lasts? We didn't just want to discuss theories; we wanted to equip our "next line leaders" with the practical skills to manage churches, teach children, and expand the Kingdom.
Building a Legacy, Not Just a Ministry
The tone was set by Bishop Abraham, who delivered a challenging message on the continuity of ministry. He posed a difficult question: "What happens when the leader is gone?"
He urged the participants to move beyond their own tenure and focus on mentoring. The highlight of his session was the biblical framework for raising up the next generation—ensuring that the work of the Lord continues seamlessly from one generation to the next.
The participants were also blessed by the ministry of Pr. Niall MacTaggart. Drawing from the life of Abraham and Sarah, he spoke on "The Ten Gates." It was a deeply spiritual session that reminded them that God often uses ordinary people for extraordinary purposes—if they are willing to walk by faith, even when the promise seems delayed.
Practical Tools for Growth
Ministry is spiritual, but it also requires faithful stewardship. Evangelist Deepak Roy walked us through the "Parameters for Church Growth." He encouraged leaders to stop looking at just attendance numbers and start measuring spiritual depth, reputation in the community, and financial integrity.
Building on this, Rev. Sibu P. Alex conducted a hands-on session on management.
The Classroom as a Mission Field
One of the most dynamic sessions was led by Abhishek Kumar on the vision of our Non-Formal Schools (NFS).
They discussed why students drop out of schools, lack of interest, or poor teaching methods—and how to fix it. The teachers were introduced to creative, activity-based learning methods like crafts, role-plays, and quizzes. The takeaway was powerful: A good teacher creates a bridge to the parents. When a child learns well and behaves well, the family's heart opens to the Gospel.
Renewal and Anointing
They didn't just learn; but looked inward. Every participant conducted a personal SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) of their own ministry. It was a time of honest reflection and strategic planning.
The conference concluded with a special anointing service. It was a moving moment as Pr. Niall prayed for every single worker, anointing them with oil.
