The Story of Parsodi Church

The story of Parsodi Church in Sarhuja District, Chhattisgarh, is a powerful example of this truth. For years, the tribal believers worshipped in homes and open spaces, often braving harsh weather and limited space. They prayed faithfully for a place where they could gather as one body, safe and united.

After much waiting, preparation, and hard work, their prayers were answered. In September 2021, the Parsodi congregation joyfully dedicated their first permanent church building. The entire village celebrated with music, dance, and heartfelt worship, expressing their gratitude to God.

What made this achievement even more special was the sacrifice of the believers themselves. During the challenges of the COVID-19 lockdown, they volunteered to do most of the labor themselves, completing the building for half of the original budget. For this community, the new church is more than a structure — it’s a symbol of God’s faithfulness and their unity in Christ.
