COMMISSIONING 40 NEW MISSIONARIES TO 40 NEW FIELDS

Expanding Our Mission: Reaching Unreached and Telling the Untold in 13 States with 40 New Missionaries

Missionary Commissioning: Empowering a New Generation of Ambassadors

Hope India Mission marked a significant milestone on August 18, 2023, as we commissioned 40 dedicated missionaries to spread the message of hope and love across 13 North Indian states. This event was not just a mere ceremony but a profound recognition of God's calling and the relentless pursuit of His mission.

40 for 40 Expanding Horizons

This commissioning was unparalleled in our history, with 40 new missionaries stepping into 40 distinct mission fields, echoing the call to reach the unreached. Their commitment and willingness to serve are testaments to their  faith and dedication.

A Time of Equipping and Transformation

Prior to the commissioning, these missionaries underwent rigorous training at Hope India Mission's Theo-Tech Institute in Patna (Bible College & Missionary Training Institute). Here, they were equipped with theological knowledge, practical skills, and spiritual strength to face the unique challenges of their respective mission fields.

Diverse Backgrounds, Unified Purpose

These 40 missionaries come from diverse backgrounds, yet they share a common purpose: to illuminate the lives of those who have not yet heard the message of Christ's love. They hail from different states and regions, people groups, uniting under the banner of Hope India Mission to bring about transformation in their communities.

The Urgency of the Mission

In regions often referred to as the "Graveyard of Missionaries," these brave individuals accepted the challenge to tread where few have ventured before. Their mission fields encompass remote villages, tribal communities, and densely populated cities, where they will share the Gospel and demonstrate Christ's love through their actions.

A Vision of Hope

As we look to the future, we envision these 40 new missionaries as beacons of hope in their mission fields. Their presence will not only introduce the message of salvation but also inspire positive changes, bringing hope to countless lives.

Standing in Unity

This commissioning event was a testament to the power of unity and collective purpose. Hope India Mission, alongside its supporters, sponsors, and well-wishers, is committed to standing beside these missionaries, providing them with prayer, guidance, and the resources they need.

A Call to Prayer

As these missionaries embark on their respective journeys, we ask for your prayers. Pray for their safety, strength and wisdom. Pray for open hearts and receptive communities. Together, let us intercede on their behalf, knowing that through prayer, we play a vital role in this transformative mission.

BLOSSOMING HOPE

The inauguration of the Odar Village Church,

Made Possible by Generous Donors

In the heart of Bihar's Kaimur district lies Odar, home to a resilient Dalit community. Hope India Mission recognized the opportunity to sow the seeds of faith and bring about positive change in this community.

To uplift the marginalized Dalit community, Hope India Mission appointed a dedicated missionary to Odar, marking a turning point in the villagers' lives. The impact was remarkable. Aimless youngsters found purpose through the Gospel, and the village underwent a transformation, embracing cleanliness, hygiene, and unity. With a growing number of believers, the need for a dedicated place of worship became evident. The villagers, driven by their newfound faith, longed for a sanctuary to gather, pray, and strengthen their spiritual bonds.

Generous sponsors who believed in transformation made the Odar Church a reality. On August 12, 2023, approximately 150 individuals, including the village head and community members, celebrated the church's inauguration.

The Odar Church is not just a spiritual center; it symbolizes hope and unity for the village. It stands as a testament to the power of faith and the support of a global community that believes in positive change. As we celebrate the Odar Church's inauguration, we're reminded of the profound impact faith, dedication, and partnership can have on those in need. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the sponsors and all who have joined us on this transformative journey.

FROM HURTS TO ABUNDANT HARVESTS

Personal Testimony of Alice (Office Administrative Assistant) :

A Journey of Faith with Hope India Mission

These words from 2 Corinthians 12:9 have been my steadfast companion throughout my life's journey: "My Grace is Sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness."

I was born and raised in a devout Christian family in Kerala state, and my faith in the Lord was instilled in me from a young age. From my earliest years, I felt a deep calling to serve the Lord in ministry. Little did I know the incredible journey that awaited me. After completing my studies, I had the privilege of working with various ministry organizations, each experience strengthening my resolve to dedicate my life to God's work.

In 1992, I married Evg. John Mathew, and together, we felt a strong calling to serve in Haryana, North India. Our hearts were aligned with the Lord's mission, and we embarked on this journey hand in hand.

However, tragedy struck when, in 1997, my beloved husband was involved in a devastating accident while on his way to join fellow brothers for outreach. A speeding car, driving against traffic, collided with his scooter, and he was called home to be with the Lord. I was left heartbroken and alone, with our 2 ½-year-old daughter in my care.

The decision of whether to stay in North India or return to my hometown in Kerala was agonizing. My family urged me to return, but my commitment to the Lord's ministry was unwavering. In prayer, I sought God's guidance, and His answer came through a divine connection.

Bishop Alfy Franks of O.M. India introduced me to Rev. E.A. Abraham and Hope India Mission, a ministry based in Bihar, North India. I recognized this introduction as a clear answer to my prayers and a remarkable opportunity to continue serving in North India.

Since 1999, I have been a part of Hope India Mission, working as an Administrative staff member. The Lord has not only provided me with a meaningful role but also opened doors for me to actively engage in Gospel work. I am grateful for the chance to serve in Bihar, a region historically known as 'the Graveyard of mission/missionaries.'

My journey has been marked by countless challenges - loneliness, the responsibilities of single parenthood, safety concerns for my daughter, decision-making dilemmas, and a constant feeling of insecurity. However, I've never been alone on this path. The grace of God has sustained us throughout, and we've received precious supports from our Hope India Mission family, our home churches, and our loved ones.

Today, I find solace in knowing that my daughter, Praise, is a devoted believer who serves the Lord passionately, especially among children and youth. She completed her Master's in Business Administration (MBA) and is awaiting a job opportunity. The Lord has also blessed our family with the addition of Rahul Varghese, my son-in-law, and they reside in Delhi.

As I reflect on the years gone by, I can testify that God's grace has not only been sufficient but abundant. Through the trials and triumphs, my faith has grown stronger, and I've witnessed how God can transform bitter hurts into abundant harvests. I am deeply thankful to be a part of the Hope India Mission family, a spiritual community dedicated to reaching the unreached in North India. Together, we continue to serve the Lord, bringing hope and transformation to countless lives.
