Why VBS is crucial for Hope India Mission:

With nearly half of India’s population under 18 years old, many children live in poverty and have never heard of Jesus. VBS provides a unique opportunity for these children to experience love, care, and acceptance through our trained teachers. By participating in VBS, children not only have fun but also learn about Christ’s love for them.

VBS goes beyond just impacting children; it also touches families. When families attend their children’s performances and interact with pastors, they come to understand the hope of Christ. This holistic approach helps spread the message of Christ’s love throughout communities.

VBS - 2024 Objectives:

1. Share the Gospel with young hearts.

2. Promote hygiene awareness and character formation.

3. Lay a strong foundation for children's lives based on the knowledge of Christ.

4. Equip over 300 youths as VBS teachers to empower the younger generation to reach their own communities.

Expected Expenses for Faculty Training:

1. Training for 300 VBS teachers & 250 volunteers:

   • Bihar - $3000

   • Chhattisgarh - $2000

   • Jharkhand - $2200

     
     

2. V.B.S. materials - $2000

3. Expected Expenses for VBS: For 10,000 children: $3 per child for 2 days.

Patna City Church Progress Report

We are pleased to report significant progress in the establishment of the Patna City Church. Firstly, we have successfully purchased a plot of land, comprising one quarter of the intended property. Half of this land has been acquired, and efforts are underway to secure the remaining portion. (In the below picture, the yellow portion has been purchased, and we are praying to acquire the remaining land.)

Ensuring the Future of Emmanuel Mission Schools

Hope India Mission's Emmanuel Mission Schools (seven campuses) have been a beacon of hope and transformation in Bihar, offering quality education to thousands of children from marginalized backgrounds. It is through these schools that our entire ministry was grown out providing financial support and resouces to ministry. However, despite their significant impact, the schools are now in need of urgent improvement due to inadequate infrastructure and resources. Over the past years, these schools have not seen necessary upgrades, leaving them behind newer institutions with modern facilities. Your support is crucial in addressing this challenge and ensuring that Emmanuel Mission Schools continue to provide quality education and empower marginalized communities in Bihar. We urgently need to renovate classrooms, implement smart digital classrooms, expand libraries, and improve sanitation facilities before the new academic session starts in a few weeks. Your generous contribution will help us maintain theq uality of education and enhance the effectiveness of our ministry.

What Urgently needed?

To facilitate the transition from 10th to 11th grade this July and subsequently to 12th grade next academic year, urgent upgrades are required at Emmanuel Mission Schools. Three additional classrooms and bathroom facilities are essential for this expansion. The estimated expenses for each classroom are $3000.

Praise and Prayer Points

PRAISE:

• Gratefulfor the safe travel and good health of our overseas ministry partners last month

• Thankful for the successful VBS orientation meeting on March 29th, leading to projects across 7 districts.

• Praising God for His divine protection over missionaries Yogendra and Raju Ram, sparing them from accidents and illness.

• Thanking God for the ‘Kids Celebration’ at Leprer’s Colony (Patna -Bihar) on March18th, with special guests and gifts for children and parents.

• Rejoicing over new individuals who encountered the Gospel on Easter Sunday, both verbally and visually.

PRAYER:

• Pray for Rev. Dr. E.A. Abraham's safe ongoing overseas (USA & Canada) travel and the success of his programs. (His Canada number- till May 12 - 778-980-8465, USA number -  828-457-8558 - till June 4)

• Pray for Missionaries Yogendra and Raju Ram for speedy recovery.

• For God's guidance and provision for upcoming VBS programs in different states.

• Pray for increased admissions for schools starting from April 2024.

• Urgently pray for the completion of three classrooms and toilets in our schools by the end of June to start 11th grade in July.

• Pray  for more admissions and committed teachers in our mission schools.

• Please pray for God's provision for the construction of Patna City Church, commencing this month.

• Pray for peaceful and successful upcoming federal government elections in India.
